Inspired by a true story, Queens follows Barbara, a shy Chinese-American girl, taking local college classes in Queens, New York, while her gregarious sister prepares for the 1964 World’s Fair Miss Unisphere pageant. When a car crash upends their lives, Barbara takes her sister’s pageant place, setting off a whirlwind of chaos for Barbara.
